Emphasizing core strength and balance, yoga with Frances will help you build new strength and stability in asanas (postures) as well as increase flexibility and ease of movement.

MELT CLASS
MELT = Myofascial Energetic Length Technique - huh? The human body has a wonderful system of interwoven seamless connective tissue that wraps around every muscle, bone and joint. This tissue can become immobile causing stiffness. The MELT technique uses muscular action to lengthen and rehydrate this tissue which improves flexibility and mobility, posture, range of motion, sleep, digestion and overall well-being. It's an amazing, fun course that uses foam rollers to release the connective tissue. MELT dovetails perfectly with the Egoscue method!

NUTRITION LECTURE: Dr. Peggy Wright and Dr. Marty Albert
We have unwittingly become a part of a giant tragic experiment: Give a society a diet high in saturated and trans fats, low in fiber, scarce in micronutrients (vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients), smattered with chemical and toxins, and then load on sugars and excess calories. The result? Inflammation that not only contributes to muscle, joint and tendon pain, but also leads to cancer, hardening of the arteries, diabetes, and Alzheimer's Disease. The solution? An anti-inflammatory diet (which may resemble the diet your great grandmother ate)! We will explore why and how to cultivate an easy, tasty and enticing diet that will reduce inflammation, and be healthy for you and this troubled planet.

  • One-time lecture on October 6, 2011 at 6:00 PM $15; Please register in advance by calling our office at 296-0600!
